I bought these, I love them and think they are definitely alpha level quality. But I gotta tell ya, I also own the vortex crossfire 12×50 from about four years ago for under $200. If these are your go to binocs for long range viewing they are as good as advertised. But for less tha 1/10th the price, the crossfires are really pretty good. Vortex keeps getting better and better.

These Binos are top notch quality!! I have wanted these for quite a while and finally pulled the trigger on them. These binoculars are a little bit heavy in my opinion, but that’s definitely not a deal breaker. The crystal clear clarity is great. If you are looking for an excellent set of binoculars at a very reasonable price, look no further!

Vortex UHD 12 + 50 binoculars are the best I’ve come across in my nearly fifty years of hunting big game. They are amazingly clear, even in low light. I’d strongly recommend them to anyone serious about big game hunting at distance. I belong to a trophy deer management club in Virginia, and we are not allowed to shoot any bucks under 140 inches. These binoculars are perfect for this task.

I typically do my research before expending this kind of $$$ and wondered if these were indeed a step above the original Razor. At this time of purchase I couldn't find much in forums or reviews to go on. I have the Razor HD 10X42 (Chinese model) and they are very good in their own right but these are well worth the increased cost with the AK prisms. FOV in the 12X50's is of course narrower than my Razor 10X42's but I was amazed that I could discern individual, distinct blades of grass at great distances away with these, fine details at distances are phenomenal, these are sharp as a tack. In one review I did find, one gentleman scoffed that at the UHD introductory price he'd rather spend his money on Sw***** SLC's but these are easily equal or better to my eyes. Also, OP had the 12% discount when I made the purchase that further sweetened the deal. These are no doubt larger and heavier as you can see from the specs, but I can hold Binos pretty steady so have no trouble with these 12X. To my eyes these are amazing, it's got to be the AK prisms as I never owned a pair as such, give them a try!

Excellent binoculars! Crisp and clear and feel solid. The lens are just about as clear as Swarovskis, probably wouldn't know the difference. Was good to see they are made in Japan now instead of China. Would buy again.

So I finally pulled the trigger and went from 10X42 HD Diamondbacks to these 12 X 50 UHD Razors and Holy Mother of God what was I missing! I feel like I walked miles that I can now cover with my eyes! There is a legit difference in clarity it is at the cost of lugging around more weight but I think planning hunts and having the option of the two different glasses is going to be a game changer. It is funny to look at the line up of binos I could afford as my circumstances have changed over the past 30 years. The only thing I think That came with these binos that I immediately placed back in the box was the terrible harness! I think it was half the weight of the binos and felt like a cardboard box wrapped in fabric with strange strings to hold the lid on. Its best purpose was served as padding in the box for transport.
